Bucky is Captain America’s teen sidekick in the 40’s and 50’s. In the original comics, Bucky was the unofficial mascot of the Army base where Private Steve Rogers was stationed – an orphaned boy who was taken in by the troops. One day he walks into Rogers’ tent while the Private is changing costumes, and thus discovers the secret identity of Captain America! Cap takes Bucky under his wing and makes him his partner in Nazi-fighting.

Technically in Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, traits like Reflexes are supposed to start at d8 – an “enhanced” level, and regular human levels (impressive or otherwise) aren’t supposed to be modeled by the system. Or could be assumed to be modeled by Distinctions and Specialties. That doesn’t quite work, in my opinion, for unpowered heroes that find themselves in truly dangerous situations, like a war zone! So I gave Bucky “execllent” Reflexes at the d6 level so that the character has a power set that SFX can be attached to, and so that he can still make decent dice pools.
