MHR: The Flash Season 1 Datafile

February 27, 2017

flash-season-1This is a writeup for the Marvel Heroic Roleplaying game for Barry Allen as he is during season 1 of the CW/DCTV show The Flash. Barry Allen’s mother was murdered by a blur of yellow lightning, and his father went to jail for the crime. Barry grew up to become a CSI with a particular interest in unexplained phenomena, as he always wanted to prove that his father was not responsible for his mother’s mysterious death. In nearby STAR Labs, an experimental particle accelerator is turned on and explodes, which bathes the city in a wave of dark matter. Barry is struck by lightning during the event and, after spending 9 months in a coma, wakes up as the fastest man alive.

  1. Only d10 speed, not d12?
Not complaining, just curious about the rationale – not exactly familiar with the Flash.

    • Comics-Flash might have “Godlike Speed”: “you can travel around the world in moments,” (or not? I always thought the Flash was kinda dumb so I’m not familiar either) but TV-Flash definitely does not. At least not yet!

TV-Barry’s speed is kinda all over the place, depending on the needs of the plot. As such, he can use the “Run, Barry, Run!” SFX when he needs to go ridiculously fast.
